After 18 years in the corporate world, Alan decided in 2007 to follow his passion to help individuals and small business owners pursue their financial goals and dreams. Alan has earned the distinguished CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional certification by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., a designation awarded to less than 20% of all licensed professionals in the industry. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association, whose members commit to a Code of Ethics that reflects their pledge to help clients achieve their life goals by providing professional service with integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism, and diligence. He also is a member of the Financial Services Institute.
Alan holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 securities registrations, as well as Life, Accident, and Sickness and Variable Product insurance licenses. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Management from Clemson University in 1989 and, since graduation, has spent his entire career in the finance industry working for national banks and commercial finance companies.
Alan is active in the community having volunteered to coach youth baseball and basketball teams, and spends his free moments enjoying time with his wife, involving himself in his two children’s many activities, cycling, golfing, and reading.
